The last full moon is coming our way on the 12th and we’re making some changes!
If you’ve been keeping up with all of the #WitchingHour shenanigans surrounding moon rituals, you’ll know the full moon represents a release. As the year comes to a close, this could be considered the last time of the year we “release” what no longer serves us and begin to move forward. As Mercury’s post-retrograde shadow period finally ended on the 7th, we’re leaving behind our insecurities and fears to start fresh. This full moon, specifically, is known as the Cold Moon in Gemini. This title refers to the transition into the cold and dark winters ahead of us, as the winter solstice begins on the 21st. We take this time to reflect on the transitions happening all around us. The weather is changing, and another year is left behind to make way for the new. Considering we’re also entering a whole new decade, these are some quite intense changes.
What do you want for yourself in the new year?
With the moon being in Gemini, we’re thinking about the changes that need to be made for a more solid future. As Gemini is ruled by Mercury, this may involve more social aspects of our lives. You may be doing some networking and attending social events where you can connect with like-minded people. Engage with others that will help you along the way, or provide clarity in your goals. Or, you may just want more genuine connections! With longer and colder nights ahead of us, we find ourselves wanting to be around others that help us feel warm and comforted. You could turn around and have friends over for hot chocolate, games, and nights of laughter.
What is the universe telling you at this time?
1212 is an angel number that represents growth, manifestations, and endless possibilities. As this is at the end of the year and on a full moon, it’s a reminder of how far we’ve come and what awaits us. Sometimes you need a reminder to stay focused and optimistic on your journey, and this is it! Continue to work hard for your dreams and continue to do what’s best for you along the way. Remember to stay grounded in who you are and what you want. Use this an opportunity to remember what you’re grateful for and what you’ll be taking with you into 2020.

Cute and Depressed Black Girl is a grad student who binges anime when she's supposed to be studying. She also reads and re-reads a lot of Gambit x Rogue fanfic after watching the Cajun Spice episode of X-Men Evolution multiple times. When she's not reading or binging, she's in the dance studio getting her queen on.
