Listen up anime fans!
If you were still wondering where you would be able to catch the 3rd annual Anime Awards, then worry no further: Crunchyroll has announced that it will be livestreaming the 2019 Anime Awards on Twitch, February 16, 2019 at 6PM PT.
In celebration of the Anime Awards, Crunchyroll and Twitch have also teamed up to bring the community some of their favorite anime from 2018. Among the list of shows slated to marathon are some notable nominees expected to be recognized during the awards ceremony.
The marathon kicked off Sunday, February 10th at 10AM PST US time. Here is the schedule of shows airing for fans wanting to binge before the official ceremony:
- Sunday, February 10 — Golden Kamuy: Episodes 1-12
- Monday, February 11 — Golden Kamuy: Episodes 13-24
- Tuesday, February 12 — Laid-Back Camp: Episodes 1-12
- Wednesday, February 13 — Planet With: Episodes 1-12
- Thursday, February 14 — Zombie Land Saga: Episodes 1-12
- Friday, February 15 — Angolmois: Record of Mongol Invasion: Episodes 1-12
Last week Crunchyroll unveiled their impressive roster of presenters which include Ryan Potter, Michelle Phan, and Freddie Wong. Each presenter is slated to present across a wide variety of popular categories, which include “Anime of the Year”, “Best Protagonist,” “Best Boy”, and “Best Fight Scene” to name a few.
The Anime Awards will also present a special honor named the “Industry Icon Award.” The award honors those who have meaningfully contributed to the art and industry of anime. Masahiko Minami, President & Producer at BONES INC., and a producer of iconic anime titles such as “The Vision Of Escaflowne” and “Cowboy Bebop”, will be the recipient of this year’s award.
